Integrated workshops in France and Tunisia

30 YEARS IN TUNISIA

In 1989, DMD FRANCE created CONFECTION MONTROTTOISE, its first garment-making workshop in Tunisia, in order to have control over its manufacturing and quality. Then in 1992, the manufacturer acquired GA CONFECTION, a second Tunisian workshop specializing in “brand image” clothing. In 2005, these two workshops merged to form the DM CONFECTION Group. Finally, in 2016, we decided to expand our know-how by acquiring DECO SERVICES, a Tunisian workshop specializing in textile marking solutions.

Located near Sousse, Tunisia, DMD FRANCE’s 3 production facilities are one of the manufacturer’s greatest strengths. Spread over three sites covering 10,000m2, the Group’s 600 Tunisian employees handle the entire garment manufacturing process. Fabric cutting, assembly, component fitting, personalization, quality control, packing, shipping… At DMD, every stage of the process is handled in-house. The Group’s 3 production sites offer independence, guaranteeing quality, responsiveness, flexibility and competitiveness.

Our three workshops are equipped with state-of-the-art machinery, including:

  • 3 fabric cutting tables equipped with cutters
  • 11 embroidery machines, including one equipped with a laser cutting bridge
  • 500 latest-generation sewing machines
  • 3 screen-printing carousels
  • 2 automatic pocket sewing machines
  • 2 laser cutting machines
  • 3 automatic pocket hemming machines
  • 1 digital printer with integrated cutter
  • 5 automatic sewing machines for hook-and-loop fasteners, pocket patterns and special seams
  • 1 laser engraving machine
  • 1 automatic piping machine
  • Several embossing machines

A WORKSHOP MADE IN FRANCE

Since 2001, the DMD FRANCE Group has also had a high-tech sewing workshop in France at Noviant aux Près. This workshop specializes in the manufacture of PPE and thermal protection garments marketed by our subsidiary EDC PROTECTION.
